Open VLD adopted integrally the European liberal manifesto

On Sunday 17 May the Open VLD, a founding member of the Party of European Liberal Democrats (ELDR), discussed its European manifesto. The Open VLD members decided to adopt the 15 common points from the European Liberal Democrats. Together with the vision of former Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt as expressed in his book “A way out of the crisis” the Open VLD is ready for the European elections.

ELDR President Annemie Neyts: « By following the common liberal vision for Europe, the Open VLD is in full harmony with the European liberal parties. At the same time the recipe of Verhofstadt on how to get out of today’s financial turmoil is inspiring European liberals’ policies. »

The Dutch version of the ELDR manifesto is available here .
