European Liberals mourn with Polish people

European Liberal Democrats express their sincere condolences to the Polish people and the ELDR member party Partia Democratyczna for the death of their country's President and his accompanying delegation.

European Liberals are shocked by the tragic loss of President Kaczynski, his wife and many senior personalities of Polish society.

"It deepens the tragedy that the Polish delegation was headed for the town of Katyn where thousands of senior Polish intellectual and military leaders were murdered by the Soviet army in 1940", ELDR Party President Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck, added.
