ELDR Party Political Activity - LYMEC “Liberal Economic Policies for Re-launching the EU’s Economy”

This LYMEC Seminar will take place on 27th - 30th April 2010 in Sinaia, Romania and will focus on Liberal economic policies for re-launching the EU's economy in the context of the global financial crisis.

The seminar will start off with an analysis of the financial crisis worldwide and in Europe, and will then zoom in on affected states in the region, such as Moldova, Bulgaria and Romania.

The debates will also follow closely the effects of the downturn on key actors and policies, such as SMEs, Central Banks, employment, and even potential beneficiaries of the economical crisis.

Key note speakers will address the participants on their respective fields of specialization: Bogdan Olteanu, Vice Governor Romanian Central Bank, MP Daniel Chiţoiu, Chairman of the Romanian Chamber of Fiscal Consultants, Cosmin Ivanus, Head of the International Relations Department, Romanian Chamber of Fiscal Consultants, Varujan Vosganian MP, Dan Manolescu, Vice President of the Romanian Chamber of Fiscal Consultants, Svetla Kostadinova, Executive Director of Institute for Market Economics, Sofia.

Seminar participants will also have a chance to design and adapt their own liberal economic recovery plan during several workshops.
