Liberal Lunch Summit

On Thursday 25th March, at the invitation of Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck MEP, ELDR Party President, the liberal prime ministers Andrus Ansip (Estonia); Brian Cowen (Ireland) and Matti Vanhanen (Finland) together with Siim Kallas, European Commission Vice President and Commissioner for Transport; Neelie Kroes, European Commission Vice President and Commissioner for Digital Agenda; and Guy Verhofstadt MEP, Leader of the ALDE Group in the European Parliament, will gather for the ELDR Party Lunch Summit in Brussels, prior to the European Council.

Topics on the agenda include: EU2020 strategy for growth and employment; the competences of the External Action Service (EEAS) and an exchange of views on the current financial situation. For the latest liberal view points ahead of the Summit, please see the ELDR Bulletins on the issues of the EU2020 initiative and the EEAS.
