ELDR Political Activities: Centerpartiet, Swedeneldr, Wednesday 25 November 2009 15:06 ::
On 26th November, Centerpartiet, Sweden, with the support of the ELDR Party, is hosting a conference about labour migration and immigration at the Clarion Stockholm Hotel, Ringvägen, Stockholm, Sweden between 10:30 and 16:00. This event is taking place in the framework of the ELDR political and information activities scheme. The conference will explore issues, such as the role of labour migration in the development of the Swedish labour market; how migration can contribute to human development; and the advantages and disadvantages of open borders for migrant workers.
Speakers include, Karin Ekengreen, Confederation of Swedish Enterprise; Philippe Legrain, writer, journalist, economist, UK; Peter Mörkeberg, Canadian Embassy; Fredrick Federley MP Centerpartiet; Monica Lorensson, UNDP Sweden; and Annika Qarlsson MP Centerpartiet.
