Barcelona Congress: Election of the ELDR President, debates on economy, health care and energy

The annual Congress of ELDR will officially open the doors on Thursday 18 November in Barcelona for two days of seminars, working groups and the adoption of the theme resolution “Kick-start Europe! For a new prosperity”.

On Friday 19 November the 600 liberal delegates and guests attending will elect the new ELDR President as well as four Vice Presidents.
Debates on health care challenges with Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou; on European energy security with Hans Van Baalen and Januz Koka, and on economic recovery with Commissioner Neelie Kroes, Professor Dominick Salvatore, Karel De Gucht will take place on Thursday and Friday.
