European liberals along with Yabloko party commemorate Anna Politkovskaya

Today is the sad anniversary (3 years) since Anna Politkovskaya’s death. Nation-wide actions in memory of Anna Politkovskaya and in protection of freedom of speech will take place on the initiative of the Youth of YABLOKO, Russian ELDR member party.

 People will light candles and lay flowers to photographs of Anna. Yabloko’s activists will conduct actions by Public Prosecutor offices in different Russian regions under the slogan “Silence! Or you’ll be killed”. They will distribute leaflets informing on the situation of freedom of speech in Russia and calling to stop and investigate murders of journalists.
