The events, organized in the framework of the ELDR political and information activities scheme, took place in Bratislava and Vienna between 27^th and 31^st May.

Young liberals from Lithuania, Moldova, Italy, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands discussed the liberal ideological position on civil liberties within the EU legal framework as well as comparing the different situations in their own countries. The seminar produced a series of positions and priorities that will be presented to ELDR.

LYMEC aims to stress the importance of respect of civil liberties at such an important moment for European politics. Liberalism is not only about economic issues, liberals, more than other political groups, fight for the freedom of the citizens to live the life they want.
