Europe’s Liberal Democrats today welcome the adoption by the European Parliament of a report on cross-border health care that makes it easier for European citizens to receive treatment in another member state.
Jules Maaten MEP, ALDE Health issues Coordinator stated, “Today the interests of patients prevailed over the interests of national health care bureaucracies." Liberals believe that easier access to cross border health care will help to raise the standard of treatment across the EU.
