ELDR Political Activities, Reform Party, Estonia

On Friday 6th February 2009 the Estonian Reform Party will host a conference entitled “Russia and the European Union – Effective Cooperation or Abiding Contravention?” The conference takes place in the framework of the ELDR Political and Information Activities scheme.

The purpose of the event is to analyse and discuss the prospects of EU-Russian relations. The keynote speakers are Mikhail Kasyanov, former prime minister of Russia and the leader of the People’s Democratic Union; Dr. Salomon Passy, former foreign minister of Bulgaria; Kristiina Ojuland, Vice President of the Estonian Parliament and ELDR Vice President; and Henrik Lax MEP. The conference will take place in the Estonian Parliament, Lossi plats 1a, Tallinn, Estonia.
