ELDR Political Activities: Centre Party, Swedeneldr, Wednesday 21 May 2008 12:30 ::On 23rd-24th May 2008, the Centre Party of Sweden will organise a Nordic-Baltic Sea Regional Conference, in Stockholm, Sweden.The conference will begin on Friday evening with a dinner hosted by Kerstin Lundgren, MP, spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, and Member of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly. The next day the conference will explore the following themes: a Baltic Sea Strategy – Swedish priorities; examples of successful trading across the sea; challenges for the Baltic Sea – what needs to be done?; and how to combine transport with sustainable development. Speakers include Henrik Lax, Member of the European Parliament; Javier Sanz Munõs, Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Sweden; and Åsa Andersson, WWF Programme Officer. |
