ELDR wishes success to its Bulgarian members for their first European electionseldr, Tuesday 24 April 2007 09:00 ::With the first elections for the members of the European Parliament in Bulgaria on 20 May, the campaign of ELDR Bulgarian member parties, Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) and National Movement Simeon II (NMSII), is in full swing. ELDR Vice-President Katarina Golev was in Bulgaria on 6-7 May to support their campaign. She met the top candidates for the European elections and addresses parties’ rallies. “I thank the Liberal Democrats in Bulgaria for their contribution in getting Bulgaria into the EU. I hope Bulgaria’s citizens are starting to feel the benefits of being part of the EU and that the positive aspects of EU accession will become more and more visible for them. European Liberal Democrats are proud that both parties have put significant numbers of women on their list and in top positions,” she told the supporters of Bulgaria’s liberal parties. |
