ELDR Party President Annemie Neyts opened the Congress thanking Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu and PNL for their kind invitation to Bucharest and recalled that the liberal leadership in Romania has been vital to push through the reforms making it possible for Romania to join the EU on 1st January 2007.
