ELDR Leaders to give liberal input to EU agenda

 The next ELDR Leaders and Ministers’ meeting will take place on Thursday 14 December at 14.30 in Palais d’Egmont, Petit Sablon 8, B – 1000 Brussels, Belgium. It will start with a press conference with ELDR President Annemie Neyts and the Liberal Democrat Prime Ministers.ELDR Leaders will discuss the European agenda for the coming months and notably the future of Europe, enlargement and security and defence. They will also assess the work of the European Commission and Parliament half way through their current term.

The ELDR Party has been a constant advocate of Bulgaria and Romania’s accession to the EU and is delighted that the two countries will join on 1st January 2007. It strongly supports the two new Commissioners, Meglena Kuneva and Leonard Orban.
