ELDR aisbl Council met on the 18th October in Berlin

An ELDR aisbl Council Meeting was held the 18th October 2004 in Berlin, hosted by the FDP in the Bundestag. Guido WESTERWELLE, Political Leader of the FDP opened the meeting attended by app. 100 ELDR aisbl Council delegates from 22 member countries. Graham WATSON, President of the ALDE Group in the European Parliament, Liberal Democrats, United Kingdom talked about the perspectives and challenges of the European Liberal Democrats in the new European Parliament. The ELDR Council meeting was aimed to inform our member parties on the current priorities of our Parliamentary Group and the opportunities it will present. Janusz ONYSZKIEWICZ, Vice-President of the European Parliament, Unia Wolnosci, Poland spoke on the topic of ‘Europe whole and free? 15 years after the fall of the Berlin wall." The next Council meeting will be held at the fringe of the next Liberal International Congress on Saturday 14th May 2005 in Sofia at 14.00. More details will follow at a later stage. Read more ...

ELDR Party aisbl welcomes I Radicali as new member
