Council in Brussels, Belgium 9th July 2004 (16/07/2004)

The Council paid attention to the ELDR president announcing the creation of the parliamentary Group of the 'Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe' (ALDE). This will be a group formed from the existing ELDR Group (58 new ELDR MEP's), MEPS's from UDF, France and from La Margheritha, Italy as well as from the Lithuanian Labour Party.
