Puisse cette belle déclaration de notre premier conseiller (c’est une femme, mais premier conseiller est un titre) trouver un écho auprès des libéraux européens et peut-être nous permettre par contre-coup d’exister en France.
Bravo Nelly, j’aimerais moi aussi pouvoir contribuer plus que je ne le fais.

I repectfully find myself opposed to these ideas. I believe it essential that elected represemntatives are accountable on a local basis. Coming from teh UK, where the concept of an MP representing th eviews and interests of 50 to 100 thousand persons, it is already difficult to imagine a proportional representation where no identity is ascribed to a MEP, as is rthe case in Spain where there are roughly 1 MEP per million.
All knowledge and experience of what “Joe Bloggs” in teh street has already gone, and on a European scale would be seriously absent.

I think a pan-European liberal party adding to national parties is an interesting concept. Miguel, Count me in (as usual) on working on this idea. My best contribution (my strong point) is search engine and social media (facebook) marketing to attract and interact with sympathisers.

I couldn’t agree more!
Here in Norway, we already have blocking in place - needless to say it does nothing to help the victims of these crimes, and very little to prevent the spreading of these images. Even worse - the block list is maintained by a couple of police officers with absolutely no democratic or judicial oversight. The block list is secret, and any complaints of wrongful blocking (there have been a few cases) are handled and evaluated by the same people who did the blocking in the first place. The police claims ISPs voluntarily participate in the blocking scheme, but as all major ISPs participate - customers do not really have the choice to avoid it. Also, the minister of justice has hinted that were the ISPs not to participate, he would make the blocking mandatory.
